Photo gallery: Dust art

This just freaks me out! How the hell can someone manipulate DUST to this extent? How the hell does his car get this dusty? Why is he able to do so many different styles of art and not be Common Knowledge?

Anyway, check it out!

I'm visually spewing!

I just added a bunch of pics to flickr. Check 'em out and lemme know what you think. I'm slowly dialing into being a photographer, so any thoughts are welcome.

OMFG. This is as good as it gets.

Past coupla days...

I'm the proud new owner of a 2002 BMW R 1150 RT! Suh-weet-ness. There was Great Sadness in letting go of Contessa - my 1987 K 100 RS, though. She will be missed.

I've gone Pro! Flickr Pro, that is. Check out more (and more) photos on my flickr page.

I got a date! Muah hah hah. First one in years! Pray for me?

I'm applying a Creative Commons license to my productions. Have at them with my blessings.

Running Log: this week

Torrey Pines on Monday, first hill run: 3.82 (1.91 round-trip)

Yoga with Joy on Wednesday. WOOHOO!!!

Another hill run on Thursday late. Short, though, by the condo: 1.82 (Jeez! That's it?!?)
Pretty soon I'll literally be able to run to the store!

Running Log: 6 miles Saturday

Whew! I was BEAT today (Sunday) morning, but I'm pretty sure it was a lack of nutrition. My cardio felt great after the training run yesterday, and I felt pretty strong throughout the rest of the day, but this morning, my body just felt wiped out. I'm going to figure out what this was about because if this happens after the marathon, I'll be out for a couple days.

A blog dedicated to Windows Mobile

Since I have a T-Mobile MDA device, I thought I'd share a cool resource for info and trouble-shooting. Jason Langridge's WebLog is dedicated to Windows Mobile information and it seems pretty nicely packed with information.

BTW, I like this phone. It's so much better than the crappy Samsung i700 I had before from Verizon.

Running Log: Maybe close toOver five miles on Wednesday!!!

Fletcher Cove run North past Chesterfield, but short of the open cliff stretch before Swami's. Strong finish, too!

Update: According to Google Earth, yesterday was 5.6 miles! Oh, yeah!

10 ways

10 ways to consider interaction.

It's associated with "Getty" somehow, so that gives an aire of mystique IMHO. If I were alive during Getty's era, I'd crash his parties.

Of course, it'd be just as cool if it were "Geddy" just because I love Rush, but I digress.

(Thanks, Brad!)

Running Log: 4 miles yesterday at Torrey Pines

Yes, I'm still running, plus no injuries, diminishing grimaces, and widening smiles.

2006 Commencement Address by Stephen Colbert

The 2006 Commencement Address at Knox College was given by Stephen Colbert who, once again, amazes me with his wit, insight, and intelligence. Oh, yeah, he's still funny. While I am still basking in the glory of his Speech at the Presidential Correspondent's Dinner, I am also loving his depth of compassion and simple manner for inspiring the outgoing class.

Today, my vote for President is Stephen Colbert.

Experts on Customer Service

Val & Jeff Gee's Blog at Amazon has a couple entries in response to reader feedback of their book on Customer Service. I found their thinking clear and rational while simply explaining why many people are in unhelpful mental states and, in turn, are unable to offer quality Customer Service.

Running Log: 5 miles yesterday!

I ran the top end of the half-marathon plan, then decided on another mile. That puts me in the low end of the full marathoners. Plus, I learned that there's no difference in fundraising commitment between half and full marathoners!

Yet another prompt for me to run the full. Woof.

Oh, yeah. I had a wonderful massage by Jamie Kempes down in Little Italy. She rocks. I found myself being very talkative with her, moreso than I expected. She was wonderful to talk with, though. Need a massage? Contact me and I'll hook you up.

p.s. She did this little thing with my Third Eye that totally coaxed a smile out of me. So cool.

Running Log: 2.51 miles

Good run. Felt strong. Yes, I _know_ one of the reasons that the iPod is so popular. It's for people just like me. I've got three, you know.

Now, I am going to fully enjoy my Rest Day in prep for 5(!!!) miles on Saturday. Yeah, I'm still pencilling myself in for the Full Marathon.

Running Log: 5/31/06 - Spotty 3+ miles at Fletcher Cove

I had to play catch up with the rest of the group, so there was a good amount of running alone. S'cool, plus I got some dancing on the beach for a cool down. It was a tougher run than I had hoped for, though. I'm motivated to get another run in today so that I can take tomorrow off.
